Annual Meeting Review

The LRC Annual Meeting was held on Sunday, January 17th, at 9:00 a.m. at the Central High School Auditorium. Here's the review:

1. The 2021 budget was approved. The budget contains one major increase -- a new line for $60,000 Momentum Funding to service a half year of building interest payments. We are planning to move dirt in 2021 as the Lord leads.

2. Levi Magurder is now working full-time as Pastor of Worship with other ministry and office duties.

3. Three elders were voted in for a second three year term: Kevin Owczarek, Kyle Ague, and Gary Wozniak.

4. The building committee presented a preliminary report. Sheldon Sorensen mentioned that building materials are on the rise (steel is up 28% in two months). The committee continues to engage builders and reshape the design to get the "phase one" project costs capped at three million. A three million project with a million on hand would leave us with a two million mortgage. With rates in the low 4's we are looking at a cost of 10,000 per month for debt service or 120,000 per year. The committee will continue its work for several weeks. When we have clarity on our project we will call a special meeting for the body of LRC to vote on a proposal.

5. We sensed the Lord's help in many ways in 2020. Inspite of tremendous challenges, and a few losses, the church was able to keep many ministries open. Our ministry teams filled in the gaps that occured almost every week. We also exceeded our three year PLANTED goal with $888,000. Praise the Lord!

6. Worship attendance varied from 100 to 220 in 2020 (in person). Through the summer and fall we were anywhere from 55-75% in person attendance from a year ago. However, we now have a large audience online. We may find out that LRC actually grew in some ways in 2020, although it sure did not feel like it some Sundays!

6. Pray for momentum in 2021 in ministry and worship and building.

7. Please support the General Fund in your tithes and offerings in 2021.
