Rev. Roger Eng grew up on a small farm in Buffalo, MN. He completed a BS in Education at Crown College and an MA in Apologetics at Southern Evangelical Seminary. Roger served as a student minister in Alliance Churches in Lancaster, PA and Fremont, NE before coming to LRC as Lead Pastor in September 2011. He and his wife Cindy reside in NYA and have three children. As a family they have enjoyed traveling and ministering together in the local church. His life verse is, “You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others” – 2 Timothy 2:2 (NLT). Pastor Roger believes that no Christian need graduate from the Gospel. He encourages believers to live in and live out the Gospel daily. He also loves the people of LRC, saying, “This is the kind of church I would go to, even if I didn’t work here.”

Maddie Sorensen came on staff in January 2019 as Living Rock’s Interim Worship Leader/Office Manager. Maddie began attending LRC with her family in 2004, at the age of 11. She became involved with worship leading in high school and graduated from Crown College in 2015 with a BA in Music. Maddie is excited to be involved at LRC again during this season of transition, while we search for a long-term worship leader. She currently lives in Richfield, MN.

Kathy Sutherland came on staff as the Children’s Ministry Director in 2005. Kathy and her husband, Dan, have three grown children and have been part of the Living Rock Church family since 2002. Kathy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and obtained licensure for Elementary and Early Childhood Education. She is passionate about reaching children with the love of Christ and God’s story of redemption (Psalm 78: 1-7).

Beth Currie joined the LRC staff as Bookkeeper in fall of 2015. Beth also served as the Office Manager from 2016 to 2018. Beth and her husband, Will, have two children and live just outside of Norwood. She earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Accounting and has worked in Administration and Accounting for nearly 10 years. Beth and her family enjoy serving in children’s ministry and expressing Christ’s love through helping others (John 13:34-35).

Ethan Keller joined the LRC ministry team in January 2017 as our Student Ministries Intern. In August he was married to Moriah and became Student Ministries and Set-up Pastor. Ethan was raised in the small farming community of Mott, North Dakota. After graduating high school, he headed to Crown College where he played four years of football and has almost completed a BS in Bible and Theology. After college, Ethan spent a few years working odd jobs while serving as a leader in both youth and children ministries. Ethan has a big heart for the next generation and wants to see each of them treasure knowing Jesus, becoming a learner of Him, ready in turn to disciple those God brings into their life! (Matthew 28:18-19)

Levi Magruder came on the LRC Staff in June 2019 as an Intern and is involved in various ministries with an emphasis on worship. He grew up in Great Falls, Montana and was heavily involved in Yellowstone Alliance Adventures Camp and the church’s worship ministry. He married Ashley in May 2019 and they live and go to school at Crown College, where Levi is a Pastoral Leadership Major. Levi is also a worship leader at Crown College and is in the accelerated Masters and Divinity Program. His life verse is Psalm 27:4 which says, “One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in his temple.” (ESV)
