FAQs
Can I take communion?
We practice what we call "open communion" which means, if you have a faith in Jesus Christ, you are free to take communion with us no matter what your denomination or church background.
Can I wear jeans?
yup.
I see your denomination is called the Christian and Missionary Alliance. What does that mean?
Today, there are more than 2,000 Alliance churches in the United States and nearly 20,000 fellowships in 81 countries around the world, where more than 5 million Christians call themselves "Alliance," united by an unquenchable passion to reach our communities for Christ and provide access to the gospel where no access yet exists.

"The Alliance is a unique missionary demoniation--a maverick movement into whose soul the Head of the Church breathed "Go!" from the very start."  --L.L. King, U.S. C&MA President from 1978-1987

Throughout this website, and your other printed materials I see several different addresses. So where do I go for church?
On Sundays we meet in Central Elementary School for our corporate worship times. The address is 655 7th St. Norwood Young America, MN 55368.
Our "World Headquarters" are located at what we refer to as "The Farm" at  17125 Co. Rd. 31, NYA, MN 55368. This is the location of our office and in the future it will be the home of our permanent church building. Please visit us during our office hours, Tuesday-Friday 9 - 4:30.
We also have a mailing address which is PO Box 46, Norwood Young America, MN 55368.
So where are the hymnals?
At LRC, you'll experience lots of different musical styles but generally you can expect mostly contemporary worship music with both traditional and modern hymns blended in. We project the song lyrics onto screens so that your hands are free to clap and your eyes are free to look up and engage in the worship experience.
How do you support missions? What is the Great Commisssion Fund?
When you give to the GCF, you help support:
  • More than 800 international workers and their families in 64 countries
  • Creative-access workers in countries where traditionall gospel workers cannot go
  • Worldwide medical ministries, including care for people with HIV/AIDS
  • Theological training for nation church leaders

The flexibility of a central missions fund enables The Alliance to

  • Redeploy resources and personnel
  • Open new regions and fields as God directs
  • Respond to emergencies and evacuations as crises arise

"The Great Commission Fund is a great one-fund system.  It allows our workers to focus on ministry rather than on fund-raising, while helping the church realize its truest expression of missions passion." --David Presher, Pastor, Centerville (Ohio) Community Church
