Land & Building

In 2008 we began our first ever capital campaign to raise money for the future home of Living Rock Church. The same year we purchased a farm on the western end of Norwood Young America. By the summer of 2008 we began to use the space for various events from outdoor services to picnics to meetings and even started a community garden there. By the end of that year we moved our offices into the existing house on the property and we have excitedly been making it more like home ever since. We have now hired an architect who will be working with us to design our future facilities. Other projects we've been working on around the farm include enlarging the gravel parking area and making improvements on the house to bring it up to code.

We are currently hoping to build a Pavilion on our farm property. A sheltered area, such as the one pictured to the right, would enable us to use our property as a meeting place during the temperate months even before we have a chance to build a year round facility. The Pavilion will be used for outdoor services, picnics, youth events and much more. Although we do not currently have enough money in our land and building fund, we are trusting God for it and hope to begin building quickly as money comes in so that we can utilize this facility in the near future!

Thank you to everyone who has continued to give to the "Take The Next Step" campaign. In spite of a challenging financial climate over the past year, we have still seen 80% of the pledged amount come in!
