FAQs
Can I take communion?
We practice what we call "open communion" which means, if you have a faith in Jesus Christ, you are free to take communion with us no matter what your denomination or church background.
Can I wear jeans?
yup.
I see your denomination is called the Christian and Missionary Alliance. What does that mean?
For more information on the alliance check out our doctrine and roots on this website under the heading "About Us". Want more info? Go to www.cmalliance.org!
Throughout this website, and your other printed materials I see several different addresses. So where do I go for church?
On Sundays we meet in Central Elementary School for our corporate worship times. The address there is 655 7th St. Norwood Young America, MN 55368. Our offices are located at what we refer to as "The Farm". This is the land our church purchased in 2008 along with the existing farm house. For now we use this as our office space and in the future it will be the home of our permanent church building. The address at the farm is: 17125 Co. Rd. 31, NYA, MN 55368. Unfortunately mail cannot be delivered to our offices so we also have a mailing address which is PO Box 46, Norwood Young America, MN 55368.
So where are the hymnals?
At LRC, you'll experience lots of different musical styles but generally you can expect mostly contemporary worship music with both traditional and modern hymns blended in. We project the song lyrics onto screens so that your hands are free to clap and your eyes are free to look up and engage in the worship experience.
Are you going to want me to give money?
At LRC we don't pass an offering plate so as a visitor you are not expected to give money. Many of our regular attenders choose to give money to the church to support missions or to go to our operating expenses.
